It can be daunting to choose a wedding florist when you are not sure of your floral & wedding style! This blog post is a starting point to help you determine what to tell your florist, how to identify what you like and do not like, and give you a descriptive word to search when creating a Pinterest board for your day!

  1. Traditional/Classic: These arrangements typically feature balanced, symmetrical designs with a mix of flowers and greenery. They often use classic flowers like roses, lilies, and carnations arranged in a formal manner.
  2. Modern/Contemporary: Characterized by clean lines, minimalism, and unconventional designs, modern floral arrangements often feature bold colors, unusual flower choices, and innovative use of space and shapes.
  3. Rustic: Rustic arrangements have a natural, organic feel, often incorporating elements like twigs, branches, berries, and wildflowers. Rustic or mismatched containers are commonly used to enhance the overall theme.
  4. Bohemian: Inspired by free-spirited, eclectic aesthetics, bohemian arrangements embrace asymmetry, texture, and a mix of vibrant colors. They often include unconventional elements like feathers, succulents, and draping foliage.
  5. Tropical: Tropical arrangements evoke the lush beauty of exotic locales, featuring vibrant, tropical flowers such as orchids, birds of paradise, anthuriums, and proteas. Foliage with large, dramatic leaves complements these blooms.
  6. English Garden: Inspired by the informal beauty of English cottage gardens, these arrangements often feature a mix of delicate, fragrant blooms like roses, peonies, and hydrangeas, arranged in a loose, overflowing style.
  7. Monochromatic: These arrangements focus on a single color palette, using different shades, tones, and textures to create depth and interest. Monochromatic arrangements can be elegant and sophisticated, with variations in hue adding visual impact.

These are just a few examples of the many styles of floral arrangements available. Depending on the occasion and personal preferences, florists can create custom arrangements that perfectly suit the desired aesthetic!

Happy planning!
