There’s something so romantic about a vineyard wedding. The golden light, the rolling rows of grapes, and the quiet joy that seems to hang in the air just make for the perfect setting. Makayla and Luke’s day at Lakeshore Vineyard Wedding and Events was all of that and more: a celebration filled with laughter, music, and a touch of Taylor Swift magic.

It feels fitting that Makayla, a true Swiftie, would have her story unfold like a love song. When we photographed their engagement last summer, she dreamed of a magical garden vibe. It wasn’t until I was preparing for their wedding, I realized Taylor’s proposal spot shared that same enchanting feel. From that moment on, I knew this day would be something special.

Their wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. The skies were a brilliant blue, the vines heavy with sweet grapes, and every moment seemed to sparkle with joy. Makayla looked radiant in her gown from Marquise Bridal Boutique. Her gown was the perfect blend of garden princess elegance and timeless beauty. Her flowing veil caught the light with every step, a dream for any photographer to capture.

After exchanging heartfelt vows, Makayla and Luke walked hand-in-hand down the aisle as husband and wife to Taylor Swift’s Paper Rings. This is of course the most fitting anthem for a bride who truly found her forever love.

From the laughter during dinner (and the incredible meal by Basil + Bones) to the heartfelt speeches that had everyone tearing up, the entire day was a testament to the love and joy surrounding these two. As the sun began to set, the light softened into that dreamy golden glow. It’s the kind of lighting every vineyard wedding photographer dreams of.

The dance floor was flowing with excitement and joy, the DJ spinning the perfect mix of songs, with of course, plenty of Taylor Swift in the rotation. It was the kind of celebration that felt effortlessly joyful and completely them.
