There could not have been a better way to begin wedding season than this beautiful day last weekend at Sparrowhill Venue.
The morning started with freezing temperatures and even snowfall, but honestly? It made the entire day feel even more magical. Everyone embraced the weather with so much grace, and not once did the joy of the day feel overshadowed by the cold start of the day.
Katelyn was an absolute vision. Her gown was stunning in every way. The draping. The LACE. Every little detail felt timeless and elegant. Combined with her hair and makeup, her entire bridal look came together perfectly, and she carried herself with such confidence and beauty all day long.
These two were such a joy to photograph. Kind, relaxed, joyful, and completely present with one another through every moment of the day. It was also obvious how much preparation had gone into making everything run so smoothly. Days that feel effortless like this are actually the result of so much intentional hard work behind the scenes, and every vendor and coordinator involved truly knocked it out of the park.
After the beautiful outdoor ceremony, guests moved onto the beautiful reception space on the property. It’s here where one of the most touching moments of the day occurred. The bride’s Aunt Beth shared a poem honoring her mother. There truly wasn’t a dry eye anywhere. It was one of those moments that quietly settles over an entire room and reminds everyone what weddings are really about: love, family, remembrance, and presence.
Later in the evening, the celebration paused as everyone gathered outside for a fireworks display during the reception. Watching the sky light up over the celebration felt almost cinematic. These two really know how to celebrate and throw a party. It was such a joyful and exciting moment shared with all of their family and friends. It added such a fun layer of wonder to an already incredibly meaningful day.
I’m so grateful I got to document this day alongside Driven Purpose Productions and the wonderful team at Sparrowhill.
What a way to begin the season.
